- For me, it would all depend on how well it worked. As much
- as I love my Amigas, I also like to be familiar with what's
- going on in the PC world. Frankly, there's so much about the
- way PC's do things that I DON'T like, that I wish a few bright
- minds would take a gander our way to see how those things were
- done on the Amiga. However, due to the sheer numbers, it would
- be a bit of a folly to totally ignore what's happening in THEIR
- camp. Right now, I've got only 3 options:
- 1.) build myself a Pentium (with a little help from Aubrey
- Pilgrim, Winn Rosch, and Scott Mueller... er, I'm talking
- about the really good reference books they've put out)
-
- 2.) use a bridgeboard
-
- 3.) use a software emulator.
-
- Currently, I've tried points 2 & 3. I don't have the money for 1
- or 2... YET. The software emulator is my registered copies of
- CrossPC and PCTask v3.1. They work well, but let's face it...
- current PC software requires at LEAST a 386, and even that is no
- longer enough. I need at least a 486 to be able to run the current
- software, and I'd like reasonable speed, so yes, I'd definitely
- consider the bridgeboard... it would save some space too! :)
